1977
ABANA was founded in 1977 as a trading and contracting establishment.
1980s’
ABANA refocused its operations to banking and telecommunication sectors to capitalize on the rapidly growing banking and telecom industries in the Kingdom.
ABANA started to sell coin counting machines for Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) when coin was still being used in pay phone booths.
1992
ABANA opened two service centers – Jeddah and Al Khobar
ABANA signed an agreement with BRANDT cash counting machines
1994
ABANA opened more service centers to cater to the customer needs in various cities and remote areas
1996
ABANA received a certification from SAMA approving the BRANDT cash counting machine
1997
ABANA launched its fully automated Help Desk to provide support to all customers throughout the Kingdom
1999
ABANA launched Fast Track™ Service and became and first company to offer one-hour response time to any machine problems reported by its customers in major cities throughout the Kingdom. 
2000
ABANA dominated the teller counting machines in banks branches by getting 80% market share
2002
ABANA hosted is first banking technology event held in Institute of Banking and was attended by the Governor of Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA)
2004
ABANA was the first to launch traffic fine payment solution through ATMs.
ABANA partnered with Wincor Nixdor – one of the leading ATM suppliers in the world.
2005
ABANA made a Middle East milestone as the first company to provide end-to-end ATM outsourcing services to a bank.
ABANA introduced a new brand of cash counting machine – the Magner 75 plus
ABANA developed the first loyalty application for Saudi Airlines and Al Dress Gas Station’s point of sales.
2006
ABANA made a milestone in ATM outsourcing industry by installing and putting 43 ATMs on-line in just a month.
2007
ABANA received ISO 9001:2000 certification
ABANA was among the first companies contracted by Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) for the first Wi-Max services in Saudi Arabia.
ABANA launched a fully Automated Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System for its Help Desk operation as part of its drive to improve customer service.
ABANA was contracted by the Saudi Hollandi Bank for ATM outsourcing project.
2009
ABANA ranked 18th in the 100 Fast Growing Companies in Saudi Arabia
ABANA became the first company to roll out Teller Cash Recycler (TCR) technology in Saudi Arabia and Saudi Hollandi Bank as the first to use TCR technology in their branches and introduced open branch concept
ABANA fully dominated the currency counting machine in teller areas by rolling out more than 10,000 units in the market and covering all banks in Saudi Arabia
2010
ABANA ranked 42nd in the 100 Fast Growing Companies in Saudi Arabia
ABANA inaugurated its newly owned head office facility in Riyadh.
ABANA was tapped by Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) to provide New Generation Network (NGN) migration, fixed line and ADSL services
2011
ABANA was contracted by Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) to provide telecom managed services
ABANA introduced new product line focusing on Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) solutions
ABANA’s field engineers and technicians, and support staff reached over 400.
